Full job description
Seeking an attorney to help us run our business.
Possibility of working less than full timeMost work can be performed remotely however you need to be practicing and located in southeastern michiganMust be comfortable being in front of a judge from time to timeMust be able to be in the office 1/2 day a few times a week when needed.
Responsible for providing legal guidance and strategy on matters such as corporate governance, employment law, corporate transactions, collections, contracts, municipal and real property law, bankruptcy, regulatory and compliance issues, construction law, telecommunications law, and other legal matters as needed.
Oversee all legal matters of the company
Draft and maintain the transactional business documents of the company, i.e., corporate governance of the company and its related entities
Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on general and industry specific agreements such as, service agreements, vendor agreements, employment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
Conduct legal research and advise on best strategies for the company on various issues
Perform risk assessment and compliance functions, including, audit and advise on compliance of new and current laws and regulations
Assist in resolving customer and vendor disputes and collection on past due accounts.
Engage and advise owners, management, and cross-function teams on legal concerns to minimize risk and to achieve best results
Collaborate and consult with ownership on the legal and financial impact of business solutions and goals
Oversee and communicate with outside counsel on complex litigation matters
Knowledge or interest in the telecommunications industry is preferred
Must be practicing in michigan
