Analysts is seeking a motivated qa engineer to join our client’s newly created digital teamThis is a 100% remote opportunity! 6-month contract with potential for extensionExciting position with a great client!
The qa engineer will be working on a team that will be building a new data warehouseThis role is responsible for the quality assurance for all their data warehouse and data integrationsThis individual works well in a collaborative environment and is interested in learning new tools and technologies.
Responsibilities
Create a testing plan and strategy for cloud-to-cloud migration
Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
Build and maintain a regression test repository
Perform thorough regression testing
Regularly collaborate with other developers, engineers, product owners, and designers to complete projects
Monitor debugging process results
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Participate and engage in all scrum ceremonies
Skills & experience
3+ years building, maintaining, and executing testing plans
3+ years working in sql, mysql
3+ years testing in azure
3+ years testing highly available data warehouses
Experience working with financial data
Experience testing bi reports and analytics
Experience migrating products to new infrastructure
Experience with building, maintaining, and executing automated tests
Experience with bug tracking test case tracking tools (jira, xray preferred)
Experience working in an agile environment following sdlc experience testing on multiple platforms (web, mobile, tablets)
Strong communication skills
Strong documentation skills
Strong sense of ownership and ability to work cross functionally
Must be data driven, objective and goal oriented
Effectively communicate and understand project requirements
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the united states
