Job description
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly experienced corporate communications manager/director to join our corporate communications teamYou will play a significant role in developing and propagating absci`s value proposition and ensuring high communications standards pervade the companyYou will leverage your background and understanding of the life science industry and corporate communications to enhance the absci brand and value to key stakeholders.
This position requires strategic thinking and a high level of collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams within absci, including business development, research, legal, finance and executive teams, as well as with external agenciesYou work with a sense of urgency, have a proven ability to advance multiple initiatives in parallel and meet deadlines, and you thrive in a high-performance cultureYour ability to work autonomously, collaborate effectively, and maintain uncompromising attention to detail is critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Collaborates to develop and implement communications strategy
Drives public relations strategy and execution, managing external agency relationships, tracking to budget and ensuring consistent, quality work
Oversees the ongoing development and maintenance of the corporate website
Drives process development to propagate consistent, current corporate messages and creative content
Collaborates to craft key messages and corporate materials for annual reports, shareholder meetings, analyst and investor events, and conference calls
Develops new corporate communications content (written, oral, video, graphical, digital), targeted to relevant stakeholders
Manages multiple high visibility priorities
Mentors and/or directly manages corporate communications team members, supporting functional growth and career development
Qualifications:
Phd with 3+ years, ms with 6+ years or bs with 8+ years of experience in life sciences corporate communications, or related field
Scientific fluency and biotechnology/life sciences experience
Exceptional communication skills
Experience managing a pr agency or similar
Proven track record operating cross-functionally and building consensus across teams
Media relations and social media strategy experience
Experience managing and inspiring junior team members
Demonstrated track record implementing impactful communications initiatives
Huge plus (but not required):
Website development experience
Advanced creative/graphic design expertise
Experience working in a public company setting
Capital markets/investor relations experience
