Description:
Substation engineer will be responsible for the design of deliverables associated with substation p&c or physical design projects per specialtyAssigned tasks will include the creation and revision of general arrangements, elevations and sections, control house layouts, grounding layouts, conduit and cable schedules, and bill of materials using microstation including station layouts in 3d.
Responsibilities:
Utilize microstation to create assigned deliverables
Meet customer’s schedule and budget requirements
Perform physical design with high degree of accuracy
Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
Practice safe habits and perform no unsafe acts
Perform careful self checking activities to ensure the quality of work before it is presented to design reviewers
May be designated to check/review other personnel work for accuracy/adherence to client/national standards as the selected candidate progresses in their experience and knowledge base
