Seeking volunteer candidates - board members for adoptions from the heart.
Adoptions from the heart is seeking several dedicated and involved professionals to join our board of directorsBi-monthly meetings are held via zoomWe are looking to add to our board’s current diversity of backgrounds and professionsWe are currently seeking attorneys and/or candidates who have a personal connection to adoption.
About us:
Adoptions from the heart (afth) is a non-profit adoption agencyAfth was founded in 1985 by maxine chalker, our president, and ceoMaxine, herself an adoptee, wanted to give adoption a new face by breaking down the barriers and taking some of the mystery out of the adoption processKeeping in mind the needs of all members of the adoption triad, (birth parents, adoptive parents, and adopted children), she began the first `open` adoption agency on the east coastToday afth is licensed in six states and has staff and offices in pa, nj, de, ct, va, and nyTo learn more about afth’s services, visit www.afth.org.
Board member requirements include:
Prepare for and attend in board meetings, held every other month from 4-5:30pm via zoom.
Make a minimum contribution of $400 annually.
Avoid and disclose possible conflicts of interest.
Assist in the promotion of agency-sponsored events and fundraisers.
