Position: logistics technican
Location: illinois masonic hospital; chicago`s north side (wrigleyville neighborhood)
Full time; night shift
Every other weekend required to be worked
Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide timely, accurate and comprehensive services related to providing stock and non~stock supplies and equipment to all hospital departments and alternate sites of care, including time share officesThis includes activities involving receiving, distribution, bulk and logical unit of measure deliveries, on demand services, 2~bin inventory deployment and management, inventory control and attention to days on hand levels, storeroom management and maintenance, housekeeping, root cause analysis and error proofing, lean management, continuous improvement and the use of various technologies, including, but not limited to bar code scanning, electronic receiving, delivery and chain of custody tools and applications and remote work locations, as assigned.
Position requirements:
High school diploma or ged
12 months of previous stocking and/or receiving experience preferred.
Experience with mainframe or pc computer systems
Good communication and customer relation skills.
Good organization and math skills.
Must be computer literate.
Must function as a `team” member.
Ability to prioritize work flow.
Ability to adapt to change quickly
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistanceFor lifts over 35 pounds, lifting equipment is expected to be used or lift with at least one other associate when availableUnique lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case by case basis.
