Essential functions:
Maintain and develop a pipeline of eligible candidates for future open positions
Sourcing, screening & interviewing all qualified candidates (trackman, foreman, superintendents)
Work closely with company leadership regarding current and future needs
Conduct telephone pre-screening interviews and reference checks; schedule interviews between candidates and leadership
Conduct interviews via phone or in-person
Tracking employee retention and recruiting efforts
Serve as contact person for questions from candidates
Onboard all new hires through our internal applicants
Requirements:
Demonstrate and practice excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have exceptional organizational and time management skills
Able to manage several projects while maintaining attention to detail
Experience working with microsoft office suite
Occasional travel may be required (25%)
Preferred, but not required
Bi-lingual (spanish)
3 or more years of professional recruiting experience (railroad, construction or similar industry)
