Arden companies is seeking a cad coordinator who is passionate about consumer-centered designThe technical services engineer will help engineer, specify, and manage product data to help bring quality products to market in the indoor and outdoor soft home category.
Reporting to the vp of engineering, this key role requires a candidate with a strong work ethic, an appreciation for details and data accuracy, and a collaborative mind setTo be truly successful this position will require the ability to develop and implement world-class data and process solutions by leveraging our global capacities and supply chain network and being excited about performing the day in and out technical work.
Arden is a leading manufacturer in soft home manufacturing pet beds, fabric, decorative pillows, and cushions for the indoor and outdoor furniture category.
This position can be performed remotely roughly 80% of the time, with the need to work from the facility 20%.
Primary responsibilities:
Program set up and item specification management using product line management software
Item specification drawing creation using cad software
Fabric utilization and packing evaluations - perform analysis around fabric layouts and efficient yield considerations.
Item spec management and updates
Collaboration with product development and engineering on new item creation
Collaboration with quality and engineering to offer insight to quality issues
Post-development production support
Production rate evaluations – perform time studies and provide rate guidance
Manage documentation for product design change implementation
Required skills
3+ years’ experience creating product specification drawings using auto cad, turbo cad, or similar software
High detailed individual who values accuracy in communication and documentation
Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and drawn
Helpful skills:
Home soft-lines experience is desirable – home soft-lines, indoor or outdoor furniture, upholstery, fabric, bedding, apparel, etc.
Product line management software experience is a plus
