Arganteal seek two juniper and palo alto firewall engineers for remote work upon a 1-year contractCandidates must be flexible for afterhours work as all changes for client are performed aftermarket hours of the ny stock exchange.

Location: remote
Hourly rate: $65.00 per hour w2 or $75.00 on 1099
Onsite or remote? remote but prefer candidates in texas
Duration? 12 months
Proposed start date: october 1
Must have skills:
Ipsec firewall and configurations
Moogsoft
Juniper and palo alto hardware (deal breaker if no hands on exp)
Experience in an enterprise environment
Exp with ospf, networking experience
Playbook documentation creation experience
Overview:
Network firewall engineers with expertise inclusive of juniper firewall configuration and management, palo alto firewall configuration to build appropriate alarms and remediation documentation promoting accurate reporting of the network firewall environment healthExperience with syslog, splunk, moogsoft and infovista will assist in the tooling engagementThe engineers must have excellent communication and coordination skills as interactions will include technical engineering staff, partner engineers, our business and application support teams, juniper and palo alto vendor, as well as various management organizations
Daily activities:
Responsible for all logging, alarming and playbooks:
Work with our technology operational solutions (tos) network monitoring team to enhance the environment health data within infovista, splunk, and moogsoft.
Inventory all network firewalls to validate appropriate logging to syslog infrastructure
Inventory all network firewalls are accounted for within the infovista solutions (snmp checks are functional)
Using expertise in the specific vendor firewall, evaluate log data from inventoried firewall to generate actionable alarms into a moogsoft situation (alarm/event) for ito responseThis will include working with tos team to filter unneeded logs, generate actionable alarms based on number of detected events over a specific time, and/or actionable alarms based on log event.
Evaluate previously implemented data filters in our monitoring solutions to determine where those should be removed, and data enhanced to generate an actionable moogsoft situation (alarm)
Financial industry experience a plus
Automation / orchestration experience in a networked environment is a plus
Agile, scrum, experience with jira, confluence, tableau, ms 360 sharepoint, remedy a plus
