About the opportunity
Applicants must already be located in united states and this role is not eligible for sponsorshipThe marketing manager ii is responsible for working with the director of channel marketing to develop and implement the worldwide marketing development funding (mdf) program including the development and management of the worldwide mdf salesforce and excel based mdf automation tools, web content and partner portal contentMust have experience with 2-tier channel strategy in high tech, a good understanding of basic accounting, and marketing concepts.

About the responsibilities
Drive ongoing mdf program activities with internal avaya sales and marketing resources, 3rd party subcontractors and resellers including but not limited to:
Work with finance to create and allocate mdf budgets
Create, modify and interpret all activities within the mdf program
Prepare submitted quarterly plans for review meeting consumption
Host quarterly mdf review calls for multiple geos
Modify/update and approve all mdf request on a quarterly basis
Prepare and report on all mdf financial status on quarterly, annual and ad-hoc basis
Provide direction and clarification on any issues arising during fund request creation and claim processing
Drive company & executive updates for any program updates
Provide training as required to all program consumers
Other duties as assigned
Manage sfdc and excel based automation system/tools and data to enable successful request setup and execution.
Internal liaison responsible for communicating all mdf program changes and budgets activities.
Finance liaison responsible for reporting of accruals, recoveries and consumption
Responsible for managing 3rd party claims auditors
Responsible for all quarterly and annual internal sox audits, external sox audits, and corruption and compliance audits
Design and implement measurements to quantify roi from mdf programs.
About the requirements
Experience:
8+ years of strong working knowledge/experience in voice and/or it networking systems and technologies, such as knowledge of service as a solution (saas) technologies including switches, pbx’s, pc’s, servers, lan, wan and traditional voice solutionsStrong marketing focus with an understanding of marketing activities typically used by field to enhance existing sales effortsAn extremely strong understanding of excel worksheet macros and visual basic for excel is required.
Skills & competencies:
A thorough understanding and daily experience with excel worksheet macros and visual basic for excel
Works extremely well as a team leader, member of a team and excels as an individual contributor
Strategic thinker, but detail oriented
Ability to speak in front of groups as it relates to mdf activities
Fun loving, positive attitude excellent interpersonal skills
Experience in working closely with sales, marketing, and executive management to meet the needs of the business
Demonstrated leadership and project management skillsStrong written and verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand technical and accounting informationAbility to solve problems of diverse scope through analysis of identifiable factorsAdvanced computer skills, including working knowledge of microsoft office suite and salesforceRequires strong initiative, the ability to take direction and complete assignments as necessary and the ability to work effectively under deadline pressureSome travel may be required.

Full time position with the flexibility to work remotelyTravel up to approximately 10% may be required
Education/qualification:
Bachelors degree, mba or equivalent is a plus

Pursuant to the colorado equal pay for equal work act and equal pay transparency rules, the following will apply to all candidates that are hired for a role in either an onsite office location in colorado or remotely in colorado:
Salary ranges are based on a good faith estimate based on a number of factors including specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role;
Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range and may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by colorado equal pay transparency rule 4.1.2;
Similar positions located outside of colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation;
If performed in colorado, the annual salary generally ranges between $120,000 - $160,000 with the opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our annual incentive plan (aip), of up to 17% of eligible pay; and
We do not request prior salary information.
