Bae systems, global leader in aerospace and defense, is looking for a devops engineer to work within our corporate application solutions organization supporting the business application portfolio for bae system’s ship repair business unit.
This is a hands-on developer / technical role for a mid-level developer interested in working with applications directly related to finance, accounting, procurement, time keeping, manufacturing, hr, legal, operations, etc…)New or enhanced development of applications, interfaces, commercial off the shelf (cots) applications and integrations, and their support.
A strong background in automation, application development, networking and database concepts is key.
Experience with software development and support using industry recognized delivery methodologies (e.gSdlc, agile, and their hybrids).
Contributes to database design, development, and enhancement within either the ms sql server dbms t/sql, stored procedures.
Resolves routine user and application issues and problems, resolves incident tickets escalated to themTroubleshoots and provides diagnostics and maintenance of supported applications
Monitors application processes to determine operational problems or errors and initiates corrective actions.
Minimum of two years of developing in the .net development environment.
Developing web-based applications.
Minimum of two years of experience in the design, implementation, and operations and maintenance support of client/server applications with an underlying database.
Work experience and knowledge of the .net framework, c# .net, asp.net, ado.net, and security vulnerabilities avoidance and remediation.
Knowledge of visual studio 2012 or newer, and ms team foundation server (tfs).
Experience with ajax, xml, xsl, xslt, css, javascript, html and web services
This position will primarily support bae systems’ u.sBusinessesSome non-standard working hours may be required to support businesses.
Candidate must be comfortable working with clients to gather requirements and resolve technical issues while working as part of a multi-functional team.
