We are looking for a human resourcesdirector to lead and support the general hr function for the entire organizationThe hr director will provide guidance pertaining to employee relations, training programs, benefit administration, conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, labor regulation and overall employee and company successGiven that we have evolved into a remote first workplace with employees distributed globally, this position will also help craft remote work best practices, guidelines and systemsThis is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the u.s.
The gig:
Build out overall hr function and infrastructure across the organization (100+ people, distributed globally)
Advise team members and executives on complex culture and employee relations matters, including performance issue communication, benefit administration, conflict resolution, employee reviews, and workplace safety
Develop standard hr best practices, and make practical recommendations for process improvements where necessary, including building a framework for sustainable and successful remote working
Promote inclusive, fair, and safe workplace environment where team members feel heard and valued
Serve as subject matter expert on applicable u.sEmployment standards and regulations
Develop and conduct training sessions for managers and employees to educate on matters of inclusion, diversity, and conflict resolution
Process new hire and termination documentation and support employee onboarding and offboarding
Manage various state and federal employment documentation and accounts
Work closely with the president, cfo and director of recruiting in developing overall strategies and programs to continue to make backstage a wonderful place to work and grow for our team
3+ years experience as an hr generalist
Must hold current certification (phr/shrm-cp)
Bachelors degree in hr or employee relations, or related discipline preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Proven ability to both lead and execute
Ability to juggle many initiatives in parallel
Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits regulations and best practices
Ability to conduct difficult conversations with impartiality and discretion
