The baltimore furniture bank is growing rapidly and needs assistance from an experienced, professional freelance grant writer who can help us plan and implement our strategy for grant solicitationsThis person should possess the demonstrable skills, experience, and professional expertise in grant writing for a non-profit organization to ensure the targeted funders are a good fit for our missionThe ideal person would complete research to identify grant opportunities that are right for the baltimore furniture bank; write letters of inquiry, write complete grant proposals (we already have templates that we have been using), submit grant applications, and follow up with the potential funder during the approval processThe person in this position would work with and obtain assistance from our college internPrevious grant writing experience required; prefer person to be in the baltimore area, but not requiredWe anticipate our current needs to be approximately 10 hours per weekSalary negotiable
