The technical director of data governance will lead a team of data governance professionals, provide thought leadership, guide data governance vision implementation, policy definition and adoptionYou will champion data as a strategic asset and help bring the power of data to departments across bhsfIn this role, you will lead our data governance program while cultivating data champions throughout the organizationYou will co-own our data strategy roadmap and assist with roadmap prioritizationBy analyzing our business metrics, you will identify new opportunities to improve use of data across the company.

Qualifications:
Ms in an engineering or science field like computer science.
12+ years of experience data analytics, it and/or information management related fields
5+ years of experience in a data governance leadership role at a large company.
Proven track record of leading and building teams.
Proven experience in identifying and enforcing compliance with applicable regulatory rules and regulations.
Deep understanding of modern data governance methods, especially in a cloud-based platform and architecture with sensitive data sets.
Solid understanding of data visualization techniques and concepts, including experience with tools like tableau, and power bi etc.
Experience with diverse analytics methodologies and approaches; expert ability to connect data/metrics to business metrics/results.
Ability to work on cross-functional projects and communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve conflicts across workgroupsExperience mentoring teams of engineers, engineering managers, and technical leads.
Demonstrated experience in making articulate and effective oral presentations to different audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills including such areas as team spirit, negotiation, collaboration, pitching in where needed, valuing and respecting individuals irrespective of seniority levels.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate with and manage external vendorsDemonstrated ability to communicate, influence and persuade at all levels of the organization to drive governance initiatives, standards, and practices.
