Position
Design engineer for the landing gear and actuation systems design team
Job description
The candidate will design and develop landing gear and actuation systems for fixed and rotary wing aircraft on the basis of customer specification requirementsWill interact with external and internal customer to finalize the equipment design that fully satisfy customer and airworthiness requirements and guarantee internal manufacturing processes optimizationWill support equipment qualification and final delivery testing.
Education
Mechanical or aeronautical bachelor or master degreeSpecific design experience will be a plus.
Work experience
Basic mechanical/aeronautical design experience of 2-3 years possibly with focus on complex mechanical systems, kinematics, and hydro/electro-mechanical actuation systems and componentsFunctioning and conceptual architecture sketch, catia v5 3d modeling, complete 2d drafting manufacturing drawings with precision coupling tolerance analysis, special treatments/finishing processes and preliminary part sizing evaluation.

Position requirements
Basic design knowledge of hydro/electro-mechanical devices functioningKnowledge of shock absorbers design is desired, kinematics, hydraulic actuators and valves, electro-mechanical linear and rotary actuators design.
Good knowledge and usage of catia v5 software tool with relevant kinematicsCapability to design for “additive manufacturing” is a plus.
At the least basic capability of precision coupling tolerance.
Knowledge of metallic material properties, special treatments and finishing processes for structural characteristics improvements and corrosion prevention/protection.
Knowledge of plm system for documentation managementTeam center by siemens preferred.
Basic knowledge of preliminary structural sizing of parts designed.
Advanced use of software tools for documents editing, calculation sheet, and presentation slides preparation.
