Boulder heavy industries (bhi) is seeking a front-end web engineer to join our growing development teamThis role will be focused on implementing best practices of ui/ux and modern frontend methodologies while working in tight collaboration with a diverse team of engineers and designersDo you understand the design and creative process, while providing a high level of technical mastery? this role is focused on developing marketing and ecommerce websites with a modern workflowOur clients are startups and brands that align with our company values and goals to make lasting partnerships that benefit societyIn addition to working with external clients, this role will work with bhi’s collection of business units to build top notch digital experiencesThe ideal candidate must possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit, be analytical, and comfortable utilizing next generation technologyThis is a standards-based development role requiring a strong ability to explore and implement new technologies pushing the boundaries of our current standards.

A day in the life
Develop efficient and reusable full-stack web solutions.
Represent technology within the creative ideation process to ensure that solutions meet the intended time, technology and scope.
Work collectively with our ui/ux team on digital and interactive concepts, providing technical innovation wherever possible.
Ability to contribute productively to a fast-paced development team, delivering quality code on time.
Develop websites that are responsive and accessible on modern browsers and mobile devices.
Work within local and server environments to effectively implement and test code across the full stack.
Optimize the development and deployment workflow.
Research, recommend, and lead the adoption of new methodologies and tools allowing us to remain flexible and promote consistency and scalability throughout the development process.
Must be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as required, ensuring the highest level of quality achievable within the project timeline.
Work within a highly collaborative environment, communicating daily with management, creative designers, developers, testers, product managers and technical support specialists.
Contribute productively to a fast-paced development team, delivering demonstrable code in regular increments

Requirements:
Here`s what you need to get our attention
Bachelor’s in computer science or related degree or equivalent relevant work experience
3 years proven work experience in a web development roleAgency experience is a plus!
3 years professional experience with html, css, and javascript
Strong hand-coding knowledge of javascript & jquery
Experience and strong coding knowledge in react, vue, or angular
Experience in modern `headless` jamstack frameworks such as next.js or gatsby
Experience with css pre-processors or css tools such as sass/less/styled components/tailwind
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
If you do not live in our beautiful state of colorado, we are open to remote candidates in most states.
Here`s what will make us call you for sure
Familiarity with graphql/rest api
Experience with git and npm
Experience with build tools including webpack, es build, gulp or others
Knowledge of gtm and the datalayer to track user behavior and conversions.
Translating ux wireframes, user stories, and functional requirements into integration and implementation in websites and web apps.
Experience implementing mobile friendly responsive uis
Comfortable using the terminal for local environments and working with web servers.
Excellent communication skills
Passion to learn new technologies
Familiarity with agile/scrum and waterfall methodology
Not required but will definitely give you an edge
Experience with cloud computing architectures (aws)
Familiarity with docker
Experience working with databases, sql queries, and mongodb
Experience developing in widely adopted cms platforms such as wordpress/ woocommerce and shopify
