About the team and role
We are seeking an outgoing team player to join compass as chief financial officerIn this role, you will oversee all accounting operations for the companyYou will lead our growing finance team in optimizing operations and practicesThe ideal candidate will have expert experience in gaap, ipo, m&a, capital markets, debt finance, corporate governance, subsidiaries, and moreCompass is a 100% remote companySuccessful candidates will have a high level of computer literacy.
Responsibilities
Manage the ongoing financial relationship with the board of directors and compass executive team.
Build and lead our financial planning processes, including forecasting, budget planning, modeling, month-end close, and financial analysis for best practices.
Hire and oversee leaders in the finance and accounting departments, including giving directions and delivering periodical evaluations
Facilitate the creation of quarterly and annual budgets, while performing audits of all company finances
Maintain standard operating procedures to ensure accurate invoicing and reporting, compliance, and preparation of company taxes.
Complete gaap-compliant bookkeeping.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Cpa/ cfa preferred
7+ years experience in an executive-level financial role.
Experience leading finance at startups through multiple funding rounds and exits is preferred.
Deep knowledge of credit products and debt financing.
Experience in the cryptocurrency space is preferred.
Experience using analysis and financial software.
Experience working with senior/c-suite leaders, both internally and externally
Strong problem-solving skills.
Superior communications skills with the ability to interact, converse and share ideas effectively with a wide range of people, internally and externally.
Balanced ability to work in a high-paced work environment.
