Full job description
Duties in scope
Racking and stacking hardware in data center
Running utp and fiber cables in the data center
Provide and maintain data cabling and associated documentation within the data center.
Managing dcim tool
Perform basic network troubleshooting/diagnosis
Utilize network test equipment including a power meter and light source, cat 6 cable tester.
Provide support at multiple sites stretching across multiple cities.
Replace defective components and test the final product to assure that quality requirements are met
Communicate effectively in tickets, emails, to customers, management, and peers
Must have good organization skillsNeatness counts
Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation
Must be able to carry and/or lift tools, kits or parts of up to 50-75 lbs.
Completing paperwork including time sheet, expense reports, and daily reports accurately and on time
Assist with shipping and receiving and its associated processes
Work with vendors/customers to troubleshoot/resolve issues
Provide proactive and break fix support for alarm/ticket remediation related to facilities/telecom/data

Skills, knowledge and experience:
Demonstrated experience with data center cabling and racking.
Familiar with data center environment, topologies pre-terminated fiber
Knowledgeable in data center practices (i.eBasic fault tolerance, cable routing, calculating power usage)
Strong knowledge of utp, fiber optic, serial and coaxial cabling standards and limitations.
Manage all documentation, new implementations, hardware upgrades and planned maintenance.
Preferred 1 year experience working in a production datacenter preferably in the financial industry.
Associate`s degree in related field preferred
Working knowledge of computer hardware
Dell certifications preferred
Knowledge of cisco ios a plus, but not required
