We currently have a career opening for a sr software engineer, tech lead, supporting the step product information management platform based in our dublin, ohio location with possibility for remote work.
The scope of this role is to provide subject matter expertise as part of the master data management organization within cardinal health’s medical segmentThe ideal candidate will possess a strong information technology background related to supporting multiple stakeholders.
What software engineering contributes to cardinal health
Software engineering is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and it products required to achieve the company`s business objectives.
Responsibilities
Apply advanced knowledge and understanding of step pim concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects
Anticipate, plan and deliver it solutions that support enterprise strategic goals and enable increased business value
Provide options analysis and estimates based on high level business requirements
Provide technical leadership to a team that consist of onshore/offshore resources, including contractors
Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents.
Communicate directly with business stakeholders, it leaders and technical teams regarding system requirements, design, development and implementation
Self-motivated to remain relevant as it relates to advances in pim solutions, specifically step pim
A covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this positionThis includes either:
2 doses of the moderna or pfizer vaccine
1 dose of the johnson & johnson vaccine
Accountabilities
Lead business systems analysis and design, including workflow and business process analysis to support complex, large scale step pim implementation projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Develop solutions that are innovative and consistent with organization objectives.
Listens actively, communicates effectively, and adapts to the audience.
Lead cross-functional development teams through requirements, estimation, design, development, testing and delivery
Active collaboration with enterprise architecture, risk and security and other shared service teams to ensure standards are met, systems are secure and proper controls are implemented
Active collaboration with stakeholders and it team(s) to find solutions to problems/issues identified
Qualifications
8+ years of experience with 1 or more mdm/pim solutions
4+ years of experience with step pim application, preferably step trailblazer v9 or higher
Experience with cloud platforms like aws/gcp
Experience working with middleware technologies, preferably apigee and/or dell boomi
Experience with linux and apache
Experience in jse (java 8), javascript, j2ee, xml development
Experience in restful architecture and restful web services
Experience working with spring framework including spring boot, spring mvc, spring resttemplate, spring security
Strong understanding of enterprise data modeling, specifically product data modeling, is a plus
Strong understanding of sap product master data, is a plus
Proven leadership ability
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent written (documentation) and oral communication skills, in a role which will be regularly business facing
