The emr and qc analyst’s primary responsibility is to help ensure studies are placed at the correct sites based on emr database reviewsSecondary responsibilities will be to help ensure quality data is produced at the sites by remotely reviewing completed electronic source data.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Emr review
Review and assess protocol to determine the patient profile for emr database review
Develop screening funnels based on sponsor provided data; adjust based on real-world data
Using developed templates, create spreadsheets to help aid in the review of the database
Either remotely or at the clinic, review the database and gather requested information
Source qc
Perform quality control review of source data for centralized sites
Query discrepant source data for site resolution
Perform other duties as assignedThe duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Excellent working knowledge of medical and research terminology
Excellent working knowledge of federal regulations, good clinical practices (gcp)
Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse team of professionals
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail
Strong computer skills with demonstrated abilities using emr, ms word, and excel
Critical thinker and problem solver
Friendly, outgoing personality; maintain a positive attitude under pressure
High level of self-motivation and energy
Excellent professional writing and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Education:
Ba/bs, equivalent experience may substitute.
Experience:
Experience with emr, medical terminology, ability to read/understand a protocol
Prefer: 1-2 years in clinical research
