The clinical research specialist reporting to the manager/senior manager of clinical research or principal clinical research scientist, conducts pertinent literature review and summarizes findings as input into clinical study designs and product evidence strategy plans (pesp).
This position is part of the clinical affairs group and will be a remote role.
The scientist will have the opportunity to work on advanced, complex projects requiring state of the art knowledge in oncology and/or infectious disease molecular diagnosticsThis is an exciting opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with teams including government affairs medical and scientific affairs on the pesp documents.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain literature libraries for respective scientific areas for new product development.
Assist in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in development, creation and execution of study protocols.
Assist in preparation and review of pre-clinical and clinical study reports.
Gain and maintain scientific, technical and clinical expertise in molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases and oncology.
Ensure that activities are conducted in compliance with current applicable regulations, laws and guidance including but not limited to us and eu regulation as well as with cepheid’s policies and procedures.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry and/or biomedical engineering) with 0-2 years of related work experience.
Experience with ms office products such as excel for reports
Some scientific, technical and clinical expertise is highly preferred
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Technical and/or medical writing
Oncology/infectious disease and the molecular diagnostic area
In vitro diagnostic (ivd) products, especially molecular diagnostics
Physical demands:
Approximately 10% travel
