Summary
The support specialist provides first tier reactive and proactive operational support for the customer’s enterprise physical access control system (epacs).
Essential duties and responsibilities
Includes the following:
Provide first tier help desk support in the areas of enterprise physical access control system (epacs) and security.
Triage incoming support calls, emails and visitor management system (vms) requests as necessary to resolve or escalate within the national assistance center (nac), irs, treasury or vendors such as identiv or hid.
Provide the day-to-day technical support services necessary to the operation, maintenance, modification and enhancements of epacs.
Perform as a member of a team.
Must be available for travel at government direction(travel, when it does occur, is less than 10%)
Heavy on physical access control and intrusion detection systems
Supervisory/management authority
This position requires no supervisory/management authority.
Education and experience
Heavy on physical access control and intrusion detection systems (must).
Familiarity with windows os and basic windows office applications such as word, excel and outlook.
In-depth knowledge of excel is desired but not necessary.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Experience with physical access control systems.

Ability to obtain public trust clearance.
Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills; ability to communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical users.
Detailed oriented and has excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
The government may at its discretion waive experience requirements.

Estimated starting salary range: $65,000 - $75,000
Cnss offers discretionary annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
