This production role is supports and maintains positive relationships with health care professionals within the network that are contacting cigna by phoneProvides high quality service to health care professionalsAssists with new provider or location credentialing, contracting and recredentialing requestsRespond to status requests and other non-routine contract questionsAssists with preparation or modification of provider compensation or contractsCompletes output in specific work area to appropriate time and quality targetsWorks under own initiative, prioritizes own work, and meets agreed timescalesWork is subject to frequent review by more experienced professionals in provider contracting.
This role is work from home which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a cigna office locationEmployees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Handle incoming calls from dental providers, reroute misdirected calls
Takes ownership of issues and working to resolve them over the phone with a one and done philosophy
Perform research and interpret guidelines to respond to inquiries, complaints or disputes, ensuring compliance
Outreach to providers or office staff to obtain missing or additional information to ensure applications and contracts meet compliance
Collaborate with internal departments as needed
Maintain positive relationships with health care professionals and their office staff extending high quality service
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 months experience in working with provider negotiations, relations or contracting
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic to intermediate proficiency in microsoft office products
Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality service
Must be a current contractor with cigna, express scripts, or evernorthEvernorth is a new business within the cigna corporation.
This position is not eligible to be performed in colorado.
