Our client, a saas company in the healthcare space, is hiring a hands-on site reliability quality assurance manager to manage a new sre team.
The sre manager is responsible for ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability of applications developed by the site reliability engineering (sre) teamYou`ll directly manage a team of 2-3 sres in north america and indirectly manage up to 12 sres in india/europeThe activities of the team include:
Ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability of the company`s applications.
Building, testing, and delivering apis and services that integrate the web content with existing systems, and third-party systems.
Building, testing, and maintaining testing and production monitoring systems and tools to support robustness of ui and api based testing for various components.
Developing and maintaining load, stress, scalability and reliability tools and metrics to ensure quality of applications and solutions.
Experience and skills required for success:
Bachelor`s degree
5+ years of qa/sre experience with specific expertise testing in production environments
2+ years managing development, operations or systems teams
Strong experience testing and troubleshooting ui and server issues in production
Experience in big production environments with thousands of servers/services, high availability clusters and security such as hipaa, pci, etc.
Expert skills in scripting languages such as python, javascript, etc.
Expertise in site reliability testing including load, performance, stress, scalability, etc.
Experience in utilizing performance tools such as jmeter
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - as you`ll work directly with the architect as well as stakeholders in security, data centers, devops and support
Knowledge of object oriented, distributed architecture and applications - prefer .net
Expertise in automated testing with tools such as selenium, selenium grid, appium, etc.
Experience with monitoring tools such as appdynamics, grafana, loki, prometeus
Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to analyze complex technical problems.
Ability to multi-task, shift gears quickly, work independently and collaboratively, adapt easily to shifting priorities, process changes, and schedule changes.
Ability to quickly learn new systems.
Experience working remotely.
Track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high quality results.
