Full job description
The compensation consultant (3-4 month contract) will assist in the design, development and implementation of compensation processes, policies, and systems by working closely with the vice president of people & culture and the chief financial officerConsultant will provide compensation expertise canvassing the external market for industry trends and market equity, while focusing on internal practices, appropriateness and readinessYou will lead compensation strategy that impacts business performance ensuring accurate job descriptions and reward systems drive desired resultsThe role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all required federal and state legal standards through performing audits, conducting analysis, and regular reporting.
Key responsibilities:
· actively monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending adjustments as necessary as well as recommending new plan designs that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and the achievements of collette’s strategic priorities.
· curates role descriptions across the organization ensuring quality and accuracy of jobsPrice roles and market test ensuring competitivenessManages the internal equity of roles; partners with leaders to organize job families that drive effective career pathing.
· benchmarks external market data by performing annual market analysis and comparison of salary structureAnalyze and interpret results to include company impact, competitive position, and market trends.
· provides creative and innovative pay solutions to current compensation challenges, including variable plan design, incentive design, and merit strategyForecasts future challenges and make recommendations to mitigate risks.
· develops robust system to track and report on results of compensation strategy and effectivenessDevelops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data.
