General summary:
Reporting to the software engineering manager, the software development engineer in test (sdet) will have a diverse set of responsibilities related to all forms of engineering for all complion products and servicesThe sdet will work closely with members of the engineering, product development, and customer experienceThe sdet will also work with complion contractors and sub-contractorsThe ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about testing, software development, cloud enablement, attentive to detail, flexible and comfortable working in a fast moving, entrepreneurial, start-up environmentThe sdet will be responsible for work as part of agile sprints, in addition to side projects and infrastructure reengineeringAn ideal candidate will have experience with testrail or selenium.
Essential job functions:
The primary duties of the position are described in detail in the job description, but are not limited to, and may be changed from time to time as the needs of the business changeAt this point in time the following are the immediate critical core responsibilities:
Quickly learn and develop expertise in new and/or assigned test areas
Review requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical design to determine test strategy applying abstract thinking to consider a wide variety of scenarios for exploratory, boundary, and equivalence testing.
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
Identify the data needed for testing
Write and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases
Perform thorough feature, integration, system, smoke, and regression testing
Identify, document, and track bugs to closure
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in qa test automation.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical field, or related in-field experience
Experience writing tests in javascript
Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
Creativity and initiative for improving test coverage and effectiveness
Ability to translate requirements to testing strategy
Experience with agile/scrum development
Working knowledge of testing tools such as testrail, xray, or selenium
Experience with product releases/deployments
Nice to have:
Experience with digital documents
Experience with both sql and nosql databases
Experience in cloud architecture and cloud native design
Experience in api design and development
General knowledge on 21 cfr part 11 validation
Education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or affiliated discipline
Four plus years of experience in automated software testing

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines

Ability to prioritize tasks and switch direction quickly as required to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently as well as part of team to resolve issues

Ability to collaborate and quickly learn new technologies and concepts
