About connect media: connect media an integrated media platform providing news, information, marketing services, and live and digital events to the commercial real estate community across the countryWe’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented content director to work with the team and contribute to our daily news and content.
Responsibilities include:
Selection of news coverage and creation of 8-10 daily news stories for daily emails covering the dc, atlanta, florida and overall southeast commerical real estate markets
Uploading and managing content on wordpress platform
Write, edit and publish content for connect’s bi-weekly property sector emails
Interview and write thought leadership content for clients as needed to run in connect news
Work with the editorial team to make selections for connect’s awards programs and write winner profiles as assigned by senior content director
Write evergreen content using best seo practices for connect news as assigned by senior content director
Write client and topical cover stories as assigned by senior content director
Serve as a backup for daily news writing when assigned by senior content director
Desired skills & experience
Bachelors degree in journalism or related field
Experience in commercial real estate and/or business journalism
Strong writing skills
Proficiency using wordpress
Knowledge of basic html helpful but not required
Knowledge of basic seo writing strategies helpful but not required
Ability to think strategically, ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented, yet remote environment
Excellent communication, creative, writing, analytical, and organizational skills are required
Able to multi-task, make decisions quickly and be creative
Must be highly detail-oriented & possess solid organizational skills
