Overview: cradlepoint incHas an exciting opportunity for a wireless test engineer in the boise or silicon valley areaThe solutions, interoperability and performance (sip) team performs critical tasks in support of the sales, marketing, product, support and engineering teamsThe team designs and/or implements reference architectures, interoperability labs and performance tests to replicate customer networks and common use casesWe support long term internal and external lab environments with leading edge technologies such as private lte, 5g and sd-wan in mission critical environmentsCradlepoint incHas an exciting opportunity for a network engineer in the boise areaThe solutions, interoperability and performance (sip) team performs critical tasks in support of the sales, marketing, product, support and engineering teamsThe team designs and/or implements reference architectures, interoperability labs and performance tests to replicate customer networks and common use casesWe support long term internal and external lab environments with leading edge technologies such as private lte, 5g and sd-wan in mission critical environmentsThe data we develop is used to establish performance metrics, prove customer use cases and improve product qualityResponsibilities: as a cbrs test engineer you will play a vital role within the greater cradlepoint teamEngineers on this team build cbrs network topologies, configure network equipment, connected clients and software services and understand the flow from end to endYou will need somescripting and automation knowledge and extensive experience in the plte/4g/5g space and experience with networking equipment featuresOn any given week you will be collaborating with marketing, support or engineering groups to develop and/or test the performance of network solutionsYou will perform solutions/performance tests and work on cross platform system integration projectsEach engineer within the team manages their own “business unit” and is expected to work cross-functionally to achieve their objectivesAs a member of the solutions team, you will also be expected to support your fellow solutions engineers with technical and administrative tasks as neededQualifications:
5-8 years of technical experience in networking using cisco and other major oem
Cisco ccna or ccnp strongly desired
Experience with spirent, keysight and other networking and lte/5g test equipment
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Experience working with python and other languages to build automated tests and reports
Must be able to demonstrate confidence in networking architecture, engineering and security discussions
Aptitude for understanding complex and in-depth technical situations, related business challenges and be able to communicate strategies for effective solutions
Ability to distill complex technical concepts into understandable language for cross functional teammates
In-depth understanding of wired and wireless networking, cellular and cloud management platforms
