Full job description
Quality assurance engineer
Must live near nashville, tn, but position is completely remote
Full-time direct hire - 80-90k / year
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a qa tester in a manual testing role
2+ years of experience as a software developer or qa engineer, with experience understanding, writing, and testing code
Experience working side by side with developers in an agile environment
Experience developing test plans/strategies
Experience testing web applications, apis, and data
Experience working with postman to test apis
Experience writing sql, conducting data analysis, and developing test data
Experience working with a variety of qa tracking and management tools
Ability to work autonomously and with a team
Experience working with asynchronous, messaging based systems is considered a plus
Experience writing coded unit tests is considered a plus
Experience writing load or performance testing is considered a plus
Experience with automated testing tools such as katalon, jmeter, testcomplete, or similar is considered a plus
Experience with oracle applications is considered a plus
Daily responsibilities:
Project standups and check ins
Working with the product owner and development team to review user stories and ensure they are testable
Working with client qa team members to define test plans and test cases
Working closely with development team members to understand system functionality, updated code releases and identify testing strategy and approach
Executing test cases using tools like postman
Capturing results of test execution
Documenting acceptance criteria, testing approach, and results of test execution using tools like jira and confluence
Coordinating with the development team and product owners on managing releases across environments
Coaching, mentoring, and sharing with other developers and qa professionals
Contributing to internal “fun/innovative” projects
