Summary
Curantis helps child care centers with running, and confidently operating, a child care businessOffering customized service solutions for caregivers, services include strengthening business sustainability; maximizing operations through sound business strategies; access to an online platform and knowledge hub; mentoring and coaching to maximize educational impact; and training and technical assistance.
Curantis seeks business coaches to provide support and training in the fundamentals of small business management to child care centersThis is an exciting opportunity for seasoned small business owners, consultants, and managers who are skilled communicators and relationship builders to help build the resiliency of child care businessesIdeal candidates will lean into the work alongside the business owners and position them for long-term success by building business acumen.
Duties
The position: business coaches are responsible for supporting child care center business owners as they develop their business and its operationBusiness coaches will prioritize helping owners put the systems and structures in place to stabilize and grow their business effortsIn collaboration with business owners, business coaches will focus on three areas of support:
Business building: thinking strategically and using strong assessment skills, business coaches are responsible for effectively and efficiently navigating owners through the process of building their business.
Maximize personal small business experience to support owners in developing plans and approaches to implement profitable solutions for their business.
Help providers effectively track their business data and, based on this data, make recommendations on new processes and systems.
Share knowledge of services and comfortably coach providers on ways to access information.
Goal setting and action planning: drawing on personal expertise and business acumen, business coaches will advise and guide child care center owners in all fiscal aspects of small business management.
Help owners set strategies and pursue individual goals to run a successful small business.
Support owners as they learn how to analyze cash flow, prepare budgets, and monitor progress toward goals.
Connect providers to centralized resources and encourage them to stay informed of new opportunities.
Collaborating and building relationships: much of curantis` success is rooted in the strength of collaborative relationshipsBusiness coaches foster a culture that values partnership, embraces diversity, equity, accessibility, inclusion, and belonging, and is consistent with the values, goals, and objectives of the organizationBusiness coaches will stay in communication with other business coaches to share best practices and learn from each other through group meetings.
Respond to the concerns of providers and meet weekly goals for outreach to providers.
Network in the community building relationships, engaging in public relations activities such as presentations, active committee participation, and information dissemination via various media outlets.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
3-5 years owning, consulting, or managing a small business, child care business experience preferred.
Driver`s license or state issued id/passport
Background check required
Nice to haves
Skills and abilities:
Bi-lingual spanish preferred.
Experience with, or willingness to learn, technology tools including: hubspot; dropbox; google drive in developing plans and approaches to implement profitable solution strategies and pursue individual goals to run a successful small business.
Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and the ability to work well independently.
Experience with microsoft suite (excel, powerpoint, word).
Comfortable utilizing virtual technology essential for working remotely (zoom, webex, and microsoft teams).
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
