Your function:
As legal counsel, you will be expected to provide professional legal services on behalf of the group legal teamThis position is in the group legal business team, which provides transactional advice and support to our commercial domain and to our shared services domain, principally our it and procurement teams.
Day to day: this legal counsel role will be heavily involved with procurement support, including related cybersecurity and privacy requirementsLegal counsel will be generally expected to perform the following functions:
Negotiate and document global vendor program agreements and other multi-jurisdictional agreements, including cross border financing on behalf of global business units
Document and negotiate multi-jurisdictional end user facing agreements
Provide transactional support to product overlay teams.
Negotiate and document agreements with suppliers, including information technology and services contracts in conjunction with business and other internal stakeholders
Negotiate data privacy and cybersecurity arrangements based on relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
Work on project teams to advance and develop various dll group level efforts
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Develop, implement, and maintain high quality contract templates and related standards and procedures for use.
Implement and employ internal controls to monitor and assess legal risk and coordinate remedial efforts thereto.
Research legal issues related to intellectual property, contract risk structures, privacy laws and regulations, and cybersecurity laws and regulations
Your profile:
Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
Juris doctorate (j.d.) or equivalent from an accredited law school or university as applicableTransactional studies, including practical training are preferred.
3-5 years’ experience in a legal environment as a corporate, financial services or transactional lawyer.
Strong preference for meaningful vendor program and/or end user financial product transactional experience.
Preference for procurement transactional experience.
Experience working autonomously in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
Excellent english speaking and writing skills.
Willingness for occasional domestic or international travel.
