The senior network engineer for beckman coulter diagnostics is responsible for hand-on network service delivery and management of network components.
This position is part of the core infrastructure service (cis) department in a hybrid workspace environment allowing a mix of remote work and onsite beckman locationsAt cis, our vision is to design, architect and deliver highly effective, reliable, secure, and innovative infrastructure services globally that align and support beckman’s business goals and objectives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead enterprise wide projects in relation to design and provisioning of network components.
Leads network technology upgrade or expansion projects, including installation of hardware, software and integration testing, as well as coordinating these activities with various it groups and business units.
Translate business requirements for secure applications by designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure based on internal standards as well as industry best practices.
Participate in technology roadmap for network components such as switches, load balancer, firewalls, sdwan, wireless, network access control standards and central policy managementIncluding technology watch, vendor selection, and engineering validation in the lab.
Develop work instructions for network provisioning and troubleshooting.
Continuous improvement of network performance, capacity and scalability.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 5+ years of experience, or master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.

Proven hands-on experience with f5, juniper switches (ex and qfx), firewalls (palo alto and juniper srx) and aruba wireless.
Juniper mist wifi and silverpeak (hpe) sdwan are a plus.
3+ years of experience in network design and operation at a global enterprise scale including wan, lan, and wifi environments.
Proven hands-on experience with lan switching technology, ospf and bgp routing protocols.
Can work independently, flexible and hungry to learn.
Excellent communication skills.
Juniper jncip-ent certification or equivalence
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Network automation tools such as ansible or chef, scripting using python, bash, or any other tools for automating mass changes on network/security devices in a large environment.
Cloud and/or data center network environment supporting application delivery.
