The defi education fund (def) exists to ensure that decentralized finance (defi) can flourish with an appropriate global regulatory environmentDef has secured over $15m of initial funding to pursue its mission.
Def’s goals are to (1) challenge misguided regulatory, legal, and political threats to defi; (2) achieve regulatory clarity for defi and related activity; (3) advance laws that support defi and decentralized governance; and (4) spur other defi protocols’ governance bodies to contribute to the effort (whether through def or their own efforts).
Def is nonpartisan and global in approach and orientation.
Position description
The def’s communications director will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of the organization’s international communications operations.
You will:
Develop, execute, and oversee all aspects of an integrated international communications strategy in pursuit of the def’s mission;
Set communications goals and objectives;
Drive implementation and execution of communications tactics to achieve and measure key results on a regular basis;
Serve as a spokesperson for the def;
Establish communications policies;
Identify and coordinate additional resources to accomplish communications objectives, including retaining and managing agencies;
Facilitate cooperation across the defi ecosystem and assisting with the development of industry messaging;
Develop and manage def social media and other accounts to reach multiple target audiences;
Build and maintain relationships with reporters in the crypto trade press, washington policy press, national press, and international press;
You have:
A belief in the potential of decentralized finance;
4-7 working in communications, preferably with experience in policy, politics, and/or defi and crypto;
A positive and entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for building and executing a successful communications strategy from the ground up;
Experience operating at a global level with an international perspective and sensitivity to cultural nuances;
The flexibility to work in a fast-paced, campaign-like environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders within a rapidly changing industry;
An ability to quickly learn about a complex industry;
Experience in influencer and social media marketing, especially twitter;
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
