Job title: sr qa automation engineer

The role
This position is responsible for defining and implementing strategies to enhance the qa teams’ ability to perform testing in a more efficient mannerYou will research automation resources and methodologies to enable the qa team to test more efficiently and with higher qualityYour primary responsibility will be managing the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts (uft, loadrunner scripts and other automation resources as needed), ensuring the proper tests are automated for regression execution, using manual test scripts, requirements, functional documentation, and technical specifications.

Your impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
Produce and maintain automated test scenarios across multiple applications, oracle ebs as well as deckers in-house applications execute automated test scenarios and report success/failure of test execution after each release, project or change to ensure the changes didn’t affect other areas not intended manage onshore and offshore resources in script creation and execution, ensuring a timely and accurate testing cycle for each project and release responsible for all performance testing activities, test scenarios, scripting, execution, and reporting
Who you are
You’re an ambitious self-starter who can help deckers qa get to the next level in automation testingAnalyze our current automation suite and recommend improvements, while collaborating with team members to determine automation testing and quality needsYou should be comfortable translating manual tests into automation scripts, building performance scripts and working with various teams to resolve issuesYou can perform both manual testing and hands on automation, api and data validation testing, unit testing, integration, and interface testing.
We’d love to hear from people with
Three (3) to five (5) years of automated scripting using uft/selenium/cypress, loadrunner/jmeter, and oracle ebs experience.
Position also requires proficient demonstrated experience with the following: hpqc, oracle ebsFamiliarity with api, ui and mobile automation a plus.
Extensive experience with micro focus suite of testing applications, united functional tester (uft), loadrunner, quality center (qc)
Ability to script in visual basic, python, and java
Ability to write/understand medium to complex automated scripts, sql queries
Experience writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans and test design, both automated and manual
Proven ability to train others in visual basic, python, java and other programming languages as needed to create/maintain scripts
Excellent time management skills, both in completing their own tasks as well as managing other qa resources time and efforts
Proficient ability to analyze new tools and recommend, taking into consideration pricing, functionality, ease of use, roi and presenting to executive management
