Doyen sebesta & poelma, lllp is a civil litigation and insurance defense firm with offices in houston and austinWe are looking to fill a remote associate position on a high-volume civil defense litigation docket in our austin officeThe candidate must be a self-starter and able to work independently and with a team.
Responsibilities:
Manage designated litigation caseload
Participate in court appearances, mediations and depositions
Communicate with clients and provide status reports
Maintain client relationships
Prepare pleadings and coordinate discovery with clients
Conduct legal research and trial preparation
Work closely with other attorney and partners on legal projects
Qualifications:
Tx state bar license is required
3+ years of litigation experience
Background in insurance defense
Well-versed in drafting motions, pleadings, memoranda and briefs, and discovery required
Exceptional communication, writing, and research skills required
Salary range is $85-130k and will be based on experienceThis is a remote position but the candidate must live in the greater austin area.
