Overview
Dreamhost wants to bolster its growing team with bright legal mindsWe’re looking for a talented individual who wants to accelerate their career and jump on a proven, supportive growth pathThe role of corporate counsel will assist with two overlapping areas: law and business.
Corporate counsel will report directly to the general counsel, and will support a variety of corporate and legal matters, including contract review, legal research, project coordination, corporate guidance, and so on.
While entry-level experience is required, many of the corporate skills will be taught on the job as long as interest, energy, and drive are presentThe role of in-house counsel is ever-morphing, and new issues and opportunities arise on a daily basis that will challenge the entire teamThis will not be similar to a mundane entry-level associate role in a law firm.

Responsibilities*
Handle tasks and projects involving complex legal and business issues
Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with vendors and third parties
Act as a key leader of the legal team’s creation, management, and refinement of contract templates, processes, and procedures
Help streamline day-to-day functions by participating in meetings, summarizing key findings, and reporting back to the team
Manage project expectations with stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Help maintain multiple forms of company compliance, including data privacy, regulatory, and international compliance
Contribute to other legal team goals and objectives as the company continues to grow
Jd from an aba-accredited law school and an active state bar license in good standing
A minimum of 1-2 years of legal experience after passing the bar, preferably in-house
Skilled at drafting, redlining, and managing legal documents, including vendor contracts, ndas, etc.
Exceptional legal writing and legal research skills
Excellent organizational, time-management, and priority-setting skills
Ability to apply a high level of discretion and good judgment to all situations
Agile while shifting projects and timelines; multitasking without dropping the ball
