Use your expertise in research and project management to help the duolingo learning assessment team accomplish important goals!
We are looking for a research assistant who will help coordinate internal research studies, liaise with and support externally-commissioned research, and manage internal assessment tooling projectsThis is a temporary freelance position (no benefits included)All work will be conducted remotely and hours are flexible.

Manage the continuous data collection process for research studies, including responding to participant emails, monitoring data pipeline, and processing participant payment
Format white papers in latex
Coordinate with external agencies involved in research studies, including irb and testing agencies (e.g., actfl, versant, avant)
Help manage team budget
Assist with commissioned studies (disseminate call for proposals, respond to queries, coordinate submissions, correspond with grantees regarding agreements, timeline, etc.)
Manage content tracking system for internal assessment tools
Assist curriculum designers with content upload process for scaling internal assessments
You have...
Ma in linguistics, applied linguistics, educational technology, or relevant field
Experience in conducting research with human subjects
Experience in project management
Strong communication skills
Proficiency with latex document preparation
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
