This is a long-term 15 month contract!
Data analyst:
Business excellence/data strategy and business systems department
The business excellence/data strategy and business systems team supports emd serono’s commercial strategies focused on achieving market leadership and driving unit growth for each of our brandsWe strive to deliver actionable information and insights to highlight market opportunities or risks and support fact based decision making and strategic directionThe business systems group is a part of commercial data warehouse.
This role will assist team in the streamlining of internal data processing, validating results, creating reports and supporting ad hoc requests.
Scope of work:
This role will work within the business systems function to optimize the processing, validating, testing, delivery and reporting of key business data for use in commercial analytics.
Role will be primarily focused on the following:
General responsibilities:
Responsible for streamlining reporting for internal data, ensuring proper validation in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
Key contributor to company projects streamlining edi 867 and 852 data and working with vendors to test, validate, and ensure best practices in efficient output and reports
Up-to-date knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques
Working knowledge of programming.
Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.
Tester responsibilities:
Review testing requirements for the business and assist in development and preparation of test scenarios.
Execution of tests and validation of data in parallel with vendor data
Analyze test results on database impacts, errors or bugs
Interact with it team and stakeholders to collaborate on issue resolution and overall process
Participate in meetings and provide input and recommendations, identifying any potential problems
Must be detail and quality orientedImportant to monitor work to continuously promote quality first time.
Provide monitoring and support for the intake and export of data
Perform data quality checks and report issues or delays with data deliverables to internal data team
Identify potential issues with data quality working with team to resolve
Work with data team on various projects such as testing/validation of new data; work with commercial reporting team to develop new tableau reports for data tracking
Work with commercial reporting and data teams to develop tableau reports used for pharmacy payments
Maintain proper documentation to support internal procedures
Perform ad hoc requests as needed to support data team workload
Skills:
Proficiency with microsoft office (excel, access, word) and outlook and teams
Experience with database management and process documentation.
Experience with edi 852 and 867 data
Experience with tableau and report development/ intermediate -advanced
Experience with sql queries
Experience with data wrangling software (trifacta) for data exploration and self-service data preparation on cloud and on-premises data platforms a plus
Experience with data catalog systems a plus
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Some knowledge of pharmaceutical business
Detail oriented; ability to work as integral part of team
Strong work ethic
