Easterseals dupage & fox valley is a leading provider of life-changing services for infants, children and young adults with developmental delays and disabilitiesEvery day, we go the extra mile to ensure that every child and family has the therapies and programs necessary to live, learn, work and play in their communities.
The grant writing professional is key to securing grant funds to support our missionThe grant writer researches and identifies new grant opportunities, works with clinical and program staff to strategize the best approach, and submits proposals and reports, often under tight deadlines.
This position is part-time 20-25 hours/week, working primarily off-site.
Required qualifications:
3+ years of grant or professional writing experience.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication and persuasion skills.
Proficient in microsoft office and experienced user of web-based portals.
High level of energy and organizational skills.
Ability to utilize independent judgment, establish priorities and make decisions in a timely manner.
Demonstrate sensitivity to people with disabilities and their families.
