Your team’s mission, and how you’ll help*
Our customersMost customers find us when they have an urgent needWhether it’s a manufacturing plant that’s down, or a large contractor that needs something for their job site, we sell the electrical parts to get our customers up and running quicklySome of our customers’ most urgent needs come when an out-of-production part failsLucky for them, we have the largest stock of new and out-of-production parts in the world, and a massive network of inventory partnersMost customers find us through our website, but at some point they interact with our sales and service teamsWe want that interaction to be exceptional, so that they will come back again and again.
Your teamYour team members are currently located in colorado and texas, but we would be excited to add another state to the listThey enjoy getting stuff doneAlthough this team flies fast, the seasoned team members are available to share tips and tricks with the newly initiatedThe team collectively handles thousands of orders every monthThis is a headphones on, fast typing, fast clicking sort of group, with good jokes always just a group chat away.
Your dayYou will start each day to a nice big list of orders to fillThey never really stop coming in, but the list gets whittled down in the afternoonYour mission is to identify the most time-sensitive orders to fill (i.eNext-day air, hard-to-find items, etc.) and make sure that they move along as smoothly as possibleYou’ll complete some orders with ease, because they are in-stock, and you simply select the ship-point, generate the paperwork, and send them off to the shipping team.
Special-order items may stump you, but you will pass these off to a tier 2 team member at firstPhew! stress avertedWith time, you’ll know exactly what to do with those ordersEvery morning goes this way--clicking, processing, and sending orders off.
As the day continues, you process a few returns, help customer service hunt down some order information, and answer a few phone calls to connect customers with the right person.
After lunch, you join the daily team huddle (over google hangouts of course), and after some team banter, discuss questions and needs for the dayAfter the meeting, it’s back to the headphones and keyboardWe always make a nice sprint for the end of the day, so that the queue is as clean as possible the next morning.
Who you areYou are looking for a stable, long-term, work-from-home positionYou have experience with repetitive tasks, and even enjoy themYou may even have a few part numbers memorizedYou love getting in a groove, checking things off, and leaving it all behind at the end of the day.
