Overview: element has an opportunity for a commercial data analystThis role will be reporting into the commercial excellence director the primary function of the role is to support the implementation of element’s commercial strategy through the timely provision of commercial reporting, pricing analysis and reporting, and analysis of commercial performance data.
Responsibilities:
Manipulate and link data from different sources
Interpret and analyse large amounts of data to provide clear and meaningful management information reports which will inform business decisions and support sales activities across the business
Supporting business projects through data analysis and management
Use data analytics to identify trends, recognize problem scenarios and recommend countermeasures
Ensure data integrity is maintained
Creates and supports implementation of plans / strategies for price increases across the division for each lab
Complies with all company policies including but not limited to treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and employee handbook
Ensures adherence to all applicable laws pertaining to safety, environment and corporate governance
Skills / qualifications:
Have a proven academic background, ideally to degree level in a related area
Experience in commercial activities, such as pricing, commercial analysis, financial analysis
Data management - understand data sources, data organisation, and storage and have experience working with large volumes of data from a variety of sources
Experience of interpreting commercial data
Experience of working with bi tools, e.gMicrosoft power bi, crm and databases would be advantageous
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities
Ability to effectively communicate data results and analysis
Be a proactive, self starter and work towards objectives independently
