Technical training specialist - remote requisition id: (21013444) primary location: united states-georgia-kennesaw other locations: united states job function: customer service job posting date: sep 28, 2021, 2:42:15 pm if you are a customer service professional looking for an opportunity to grow, emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! report to our kennesaw, georgia location, you will deliver technical training to customers (contractors, wholesalers, end users, oems, and employees) as it relates to emerson commercial and residential cold chain electronics components and systems used in the hvac/r industryAs a specialist: you must present a professional manner and develop good working relationships with subject matter experts (smes) and product managers within the organizationCoordination of relevant content from the experts is key to adding material to a course to ensure all learning objectives are metYou must stay current with technology and the industryAll course material must be taught per outline and demonstrated via instructor-led or lab activitiesAs a specialist, you must be available during those times to answer all questions to ensure learning is occurring#liremote
As a technical training specialist, you will:
Deliver all curricula using instructor-led, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats.
Conduct standard and custom classes per customer requirements.
Follow good pedagogy practices for teaching adults.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, including engineers, product managers, sales, and marketing representatives, to identify and develop training programs that support new products and solutions.
Coordinate the development of course material to cover learning objectives, and adjust learning objectives accordingly.
Evaluate training material for improvements.
Continue self-study to understand all technologies that are part of the curricula.
Participate in engineering and product planning sessions.
Participate in industry related forums to ensure accuracy of technical information.

Required education, experience & skills:
Minimum 4-year degree plus 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (i.eAssociate`s degree plus additional related experience).
Ability to communicate effectively - verbally and in writing.
Working knowledge of course subject matter.
Proficient in technology - microsoft suite of products, pc`s, mobile devices.
Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Ability to travel up to 60%-65% of the time.
Legal authorization to work within the united states - sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred education, experience & skills:
Bachelor`s degree in engineering, technical, education, or another related field.
5+ years of related experience.
Ability to work well with a wide range of people and related diversity.
Skilled in analyzing audience to present material clearly, concisely and effectively.
Proficient presentation skills and the ability to handle classes, small or large, and all issues that may arise.
