Quality assurance engineer
Location: remote

The qa engineer executes testing procedures to ensure that dvids software meets established quality standardsThis candidate will be an integral member of the dvids team and will be responsible for creation of test strategies, leading/guiding/organizing test case writing and execution, writing test cases, and executing testingThis position is for someone familiar with the full life cycle of software development and has hands-on experience at all levels of the quality assurance process, planning, execution, and monitoringThis candidate will have an in depth knowledge of the dvids web application to include all aspects of the applicationThis includes but is not limited to the cms (configuration management system), interfaces, and api’s (application program interfaces) that are used to support the dvids program.
Other duties as assigned executes testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standardsIsolates, reproduces, and tracks defectsFamiliar with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies verifies fixesDocuments testing according to required procedures ability to analyze requirements and problems and propose workable solutions demonstrated ability to successfully organize and manage multiple priorities excellent communication skills and strong customer focus prepare and present/deliver reports summarizing status of test case writing bug counts bug status testing coverage testing percent completionrequirements
Minimum two (2) years of creating and maintaining fully automated ci/cd pipelines
Minimum four (4) years of experience developing html, js, javascript
Experience with aws cloud deployments
Knowledge of web-based media compression, encoding, and playback
Experience in writing test plans, test cases and test scripts for client-server and web-based applications both in manual and automated testing modes
Strong technology background with a comprehensive knowledge of internet, mobile and digital online media technologies
Hands-on experience with open source monitoring applications, automation frameworks and toolsrequired experience
3+ years of hands-on experience in the field of the software development qa
Proven ability and hands on experience in test case writing and reviewing proven experience providing risk management and risk mitigation to qa programs
Extensive experience with open-source test automation frameworks and tools (ie: ansible, selenium, php unit, veracode)
Experience in writing test plans, test cases and test scripts for client-server and web-based applications both in manual and automated testing modes
Strong technology background with a comprehensive knowledge of internet, mobile and digital online media technologies preferred experience
Experience with cloud based technologies
