This is an exciting opportunity to join an agile team, working on some of the hottest cloud technologies and manage a team that continuously improves our client experienceThe successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and work with a collaborative team.
Perform design, development and support of existing and new products.
Understand product vision and business needs to define technical requirements and product architectural solutions.
Develop architectural and design principles to improve performance, capacity, and scalability of product.
Work with product manager in planning and execution of new product releases.
Work with domain, product management and product engineering teams in the product engineering efforts.
Maintain technology roadmap and architectural standards that assure product development projects optimally align with business objectives.
Provide coverage for highly complex technical escalations and problem resolution for internal issues.
Assist technical and operations team with issues needing technical expertise or complex systems knowledge.
Develop broad knowledge about current and future product features.
Drives technical standards to ensure future stability, scalability and availability of the cloud services platform
Identify and implement common design patterns, and identify and implement key automation projects to provide improved customer experiences, and drive efficiency in service delivery
Makes decisions on technical stack selection, and leads prototyping of new and innovative solutions
Oversee and drive the deployment of automated infrastructure and software deployments from development to productionDemonstrates innovative methods of cloud based iaas / paas deployments and modern scripting tools to quickly launch, shut down and re-launch platforms and applications using modern and innovative scripted techniques on in an agile accelerating approach and realizing business outcomes, while keeping alignment with the business visionAlso act as a coach for operational excellence to other teams.
Ability to start with the business strategy and develop an engineering approach that builds extensible frameworks and architectures that tackle a range of future opportunities that help our customers do things faster and easily in a self-serve environment.
Manage strategic global systems configuration and deployment within platform, providing proper discipline and rigor as we deploy new innovative solutions to produce insights that impact our portfolio.
Desired skills
A strong understanding of public cloud, private cloud and hybrid models.
A good understanding of the agile and itil frameworks.
A good understanding of modern it methods such as ci/cd
Have a passion for cloud technologies and the power of automation.
Demonstrated experience and a passion for identifying and solving complex problems
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills (verbal and written).
Confidence in liaising with personnel at director or srDirector level
Ability to multi-task with accuracy and work well within required timescales
Ability to document processes and procedures in a clear, concise and logical manner
Ability to interpret data and to present information in a variety of formats
Work in an organized and efficient manner without close supervision with a strong attention to detail as part of a global team or as an individual
Demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and drive
Education/experience
8+ years’ experience in the it sector with appeal for those who have a background in managed services and public cloud
Highly specialized microsoft azure experience backed by certifications
Experience with public cloud architecture, cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, migration patterns and tools.
Knowledge of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with experience implementing best practices or suggested improvements.
