Job description summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join an agile team, working on some of the hottest cloud technologies and manage a team that continuously improves our client experienceThe successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and work in a collaborative environment.
Serve as the most senior technical resource in the azure product team, driving decisions that shape the future of the product
Lead a team of product engineers/architects to develop and operate a leading managed service offering for azure (platform, tools, services).
Serve as the technical thought leader and global evangelist for the azure service offering, driving technical innovation and integration
Work with the product management team to establish and execute the azure product roadmap
Designing and implementing secure production support systems
Managing product development planning sessions to include: work prioritization, product spec review and sprint planning;
Creating and delivering technical training related to the azure managed support offering
Act as an azure subject matter expert for support escalations and complex sales engagements.
Drives technical standards to ensure future stability, scalability and availability of the cloud services platform
Develop automation to improve at-scale deployment and management of customer cloud environments, reducing work demands and cultivating consistency.
Makes decisions on technical stack selection, and leads prototyping of new and innovative solutions
Act as a coach for operational excellence to other teams.
Ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive technical solutions, with a focus on self-service and efficiency.
Translates complex ideas, technology, and programs into language senior management can relate to and performs as a key influencer on technical decisions that affect the business on a long-term basis.
Leads the development of metrics and scorecards to influence the technology teams on industry best practices for cloud development.
Performs as an idea generator, working with others as a thought leader and subject- matter expert to help brainstorm new processes and solutionsShares highly complex information related to areas of expertiseInteracts with senior management to keep abreast of objectivesTransfers knowledge and collaborates across functional lines and/or across departmentsInteracts with direct reports and peers in management / customers / vendors to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes and programsBuilds and enhances key internal and external contacts.

Collaborate with other engineering leaders to establish best practices and cross platform automation.
Cultivating the relationship with strategic technology partnersEngage in roadmap review/early access programs to evaluate product integration opportunities.
Desired skills
A strong understanding of public cloud, private cloud and hybrid models.
A good understanding of the agile and itil frameworks.
A good understanding of modern it methods such as ci/cd
Have a passion for cloud technologies and the power of automation.
Demonstrated experience and a passion for identifying and solving complex problems
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills (verbal and written).
Confidence in liaising with personnel at all levels
Ability to multi-task with accuracy and work well within required timescales
Ability to document processes and procedures in a clear, concise and logical manner
Ability to interpret data and to present information in a variety of formats
Work in an organized and efficient manner without close supervision with a strong attention to detail as part of a global team or as an individual
Demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and drive
Proven technical leader with demonstrable ability to launch new technologies and services.
Education/experience
8-10 years of experience in leading engineering and/or architecture initiatives
10+ years’ experience in the it sector with appeal for those who have a background in managed services
Highly specialized microsoft azure experience backed by certifications
Experience with public cloud architecture, cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, migration patterns and tools.
Knowledge of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with experience implementing best practices or suggested improvements.
At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross functional team leadership.
