Full job description
The lead certified pharmacy technician packing/shipping is responsible for accurately checking in and filling prescription ordersThis position has no direct reports.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Pack and ship prescription drug orders utilizing pharmacy system.
Monitor work area to ensure adequate supplies; restock as needed
Assist with distribution of work to pack/ship staff
Coordinate and identify all job related training for the department
Lead and mentor staff to improve skillset and career potential
Inform supervisors and managers on escalated issues, accomplishments of team members, infractions and productivity items.
Organize daily delivery orders and place in the appropriate work areas as needed
Work with supervisor to develop weekly schedules
Provide support to other areas of the pharmacy when business need arises
Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or ged
Registered as certified pharmacy technician with the state of ohio, board of pharmacy
Effective verbal and written communication skills
A decisive individual who possesses a detail oriented perspective
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision
Ability to lead and work with peers in a team effort
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast paced environment
Proficient in microsoft office and industry related software programs
Ability to lift heavy paper boxes
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays pursuant with industry demands
Work environment:
Includes a production environment, with exposure to excessive noise, heavy machinery and temperature controlled environment with minimal exposure to adverse environmental issues.
Physical requirements:
Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to lift, pull, push boxes and manipulate equipment which requires strength, gross motor and fine motor coordination.
