The senior project manager is accountable for all elements of the new product development lifecycle, including manufacturing transfer projects of existing productsThe candidate will be us based but work globally and cross functionally with r&d, manufacturing and other functions including marketing, quality, regulatory, sourcing, supply chain and finance to drive right first time results.
The candidate must have superior project management skills including phase gate (design control) product development processes and domain knowledge in manufacturing transfers.
A hands-on leader/worker attitude and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment are mandatoryThe product types include physical products and systems with embedded software.
Based remotely in the united states, with interface to a global teams in europe and china.
What will you do:
Be the matrix leader of all functions from idea to launch of new product and manufacturing transfer projects
Partner closely with technical lead, manufacturing lead, and marketing lead to ensure the global product realization strategy is being carried out, with requirements tracked through the project lifecycle
Participate in the design control process where/if needed, including analysis of customer requirements and development of system design parameters to meet those requirements
Participate in the qualification of old/new production lines to ensure process capability is maintained throughout the transfer
Direct the project team(s) during daily meetings (agile management)
Maintain the project(s) phase gate critical path using ms project gantt chart or similar visual methods (waterfall management)
Be the auditee representative in front of iso 13485 and fda regulators
Manage risk according to iso 14971 and iso 62304 best practices
Develop and manage project budgets using earned value and net present value
