Job description
Etsy is seeking an engineering manager to lead initiatives within the marketing technology space and expand and build a platform to enable etsy to understand its customers better and reach them through a variety of channelsOur aim is to enable our marketing team to deliver compelling content to the appropriate audience through whichever channel is most effective, and enable our marketers to measure the impact of all of their workSelect projects include building and extending the self-service capabilities of our customer data platform and working with our performance marketing teams to enable unlock new channels and launch marketing campaignsIt’s an exciting fast-paced and data-heavy domain with lots of measurable impact!
You will partner closely with engineers, product managers and marketing stakeholders to identify problems, and implement creative solutions to address them.
About the role
You will manage a team of 4-5 engineers, both fte and contractors, and work with recruiting to fill future roles on the squad.
You will serve as a coach, mentor, and advocate for the engineers on your team.
This role will work with other leaders within marketing technology and engineering
You will work alongside product management, and marketing partners to prioritize and develop new capabilities and drive adoption of our platform.
Your team will own critical systems that inform millions of dollars of marketing spend.
You will collaborate with other engineering teams to make data available and drive platform adoption.

Qualifications
Qualifications
You have deep experience in software engineering management with a track record of effectively balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic investment.
You have a strong technical background building high availability systems and integrations.
You have experience managing multiple stakeholders and external vendors and can clearly articulate risks and dependencies on projects.
You may have experience working in data engineering, marketing technology or ads space.
