We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our legal teamThis position will provide legal support to etsy’s growing global business on pre litigation and litigation matters, regulatory matters, and intellectual propertyOur team supports each of the four brands within our existing ‘family of brands’ so there will be opportunity to advise and support each of reverb, elo7 and depop as well as etsy.comThe role will include developing and managing internal procedures, coordinating with related etsy teams, and working with outside counsel.
The legal team works across our offices worldwide, to provide timely and business-savvy legal adviceWe support etsy’s growth by delivering legal and business know-how with a phenomenal work ethic.
This is a full-time position located in brooklyn, ny, reporting to the senior counsel, intellectual property & litigationEtsy offers three different work modes to meet the variety of needs and preferences of our team: flex mode for candidates who are comfortable traveling to an office location 2+ times per week, remote mode, and office-based modeLearn more about our flexible work modes and vaccination policy here.
About the role
In this role you will:
Organize, prioritize and manage the procedures, docketing, and day to day handling of the etsy group’s litigation, regulatory and ip matters.
Help build standardized processes for intake, review and management of matters for the etsy group across all subsidiaries.
Be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our litigation management system and associated workflows.
Work alongside in-house litigation counsel to collect evidence, case documents, and on other aspects of litigation practice, and the legal ops team on metrics and technology solutions.
Understand and help manage litigation and ip risks.

Qualifications
About you
Ideally you`ll bring:
3+ years of experience in intellectual property, litigation, or both, either in a firm or a corporate environment as a paralegal or legal specialist.
Experience in global tech, retail and/or e-commerce companies.
Ability to balance multiple responsibilities of litigation case management.
Experience in undertaking new challenges, taking primary responsibility for projects, and developing new areas of expertise.
Ability to work cross-functionally across legal, technology, product and engineering groups, and to coordinate with external partners and parties.
Effective communicator - verbally and in writingYou can speak to technical professionals or business leaders in plain english, without legal jargon.
