We are seeking to support etsy’s growth by ensuring timely and accurate reporting and a strong and sustainable internal control environmentOur goal is to contribute to etsy at multiple levels by combining strong accounting and business senses while subscribing to etsy’s mission and values.

Etsy is currently undergoing a s2p transformation with the goal to stand up a center-led procurement model providing us the ability to create a seamless, efficient, and scalable end-to-end user experience to support improved company performance with appropriate controls and governanceWe are creating a brand-new team of buyers at etsy to manage daily activities within s2p, collaborating & managing relationships with internal customers, business owners and external supplier representatives.
This is a full-time position located (eventually) in brooklyn, ny reporting to the procurement managerWe offer flexible workplace policies that can accommodate work from home candidates who are comfortable traveling to an office location 2-3 times per weekWe’re also open to remote hires.
About the role
In this role you will:
Lead day to day purchasing process by: providing operational support across requisitioning and ordering; reviewing all requisitions and ensuring they are aligned with company policies; ensuring all items and pricing are accurately listed on orders; managing the creation of pos and ensuring all necessary approvals are in place; ensuring delivery of goods and services meet internal customer needs; and partnering with sourcing team and/or suppliers to obtain quotes when competitive bids are required per policy
Monitor the quality of the purchasing process by reviewing (qa) approved requisitions, creating effective purchase orders/statements of work (sow), validating pricing accuracy, ensuring delivery of goods and services to meet internal customer needs, accuracy of order placement, method of shipment, and payment terms with suppliers, expediting or de-expediting pos as needed
Champion adherence to all purchasing policies, processes and procedures
Maintain purchasing compliance through maximizing the use of established agreements
Review requisitions and makes decision to pass on to sourcing specialist for sourcing initiatives
Interact with internal customers to identify requirements and resolve issues
Use corporate contract management tool to generate accurate contracts based on pre approved guidelines (standard templates, standard terms and conditions).

Qualifications
You will have:
Experience in a fast-growing global companyLarge tech experience is a plus.
2+ years experience with procurement operations, erp, eprocurement, ecatalog, contract management, erfx and eauction strategies and technologies
A solid understanding of po processing technology and processes is required
Good teamwork skills to work with other departments to plan and implement deployment of the above technologies
Strong facilitation skills to communicate and collaborate with partners across etsy to implement purchase-to-pay processes and technologies
Demonstrated success in gathering data, conducting analyses, and generating high quality outputs
Experience with process, quality control, and workflow management and design preferred
High energy level, with a hands-on approach, and who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, with high attention to detail
Excel in effective and positive communications and experience in building remote relationships.
Proficient knowledge of microsoft excel & exposure to workday or another erp system is an advantage
Understanding of leading p2p technology practices and trends preferred
